Here are five simple things you can do to build good relationships with people –
1. Ask them about their lives.
Yes, it’s as simple as that. When you show interest in people’s lives, you indirectly show that you care.
This is the foundation of every good relationship.
2. Ask them about their work.
We spend the majority of our time in our jobs. So understandably, we have plenty to talk about it.
If you can listen patiently, people would love to tell you about their work. It makes for a great conversation.
3. Ask them about their health.
This is even more relevant considering the times we are in.
Simply asking people about their/family’s well-being goes a long way in building good relationships.
“How is your father? Is he feeling better now?” – This simple question can work wonders.
4. Show your support.
This is an easy one. Thanks to the internet, you can show your support with just a tap. Like, share, or comment on their posts.
If they are not creators then simply sharing a good meme will also work.
Don’t underestimate the power of a good meme.😉
5. Every once in a while, send a friendly text to let them know they can speak to you.
You never know what someone might be going through. So a simple text from you can make someone’s day. Never forget that.
In the end, it’s all about shifting your focus on others. This is what all relationships boil down to.
Selflessness, therefore, is the key to good relationships.
So listen more, speak less.
Ask more, share less.
Put your focus on people and they’ll love you for it.Tweet
Remember, relationships are important pillars of happiness.
The better your relationships are, the happier you will be.
