A Trip down the Memory Lane in Search of Happiness

A trip down the memory lane in search of happiness.

Take a moment to think of your childhood. Think of all the things you used to do when you were a kid.

Think of all the activities that you enjoyed doing while you were young. Think of people you used to enjoy spending time with.

Now think of the things that you owned back then. Did you have lots of money? Did you have fancy cars or big houses? Did you have the latest gadgets?

Now ask yourself this one simple question – WAS I HAPPY?

The answer is probably going to be a big ‘Yes’. And the amazing thing is that you were happy without having all the things that you now consider essential for your happiness.

That’s what most of us forget while growing up. We start assuming that our happiness lies in top jobs, building large bank accounts, buying fancy cars, and owning big houses.

What we forget that we’ve been happy without these things as well. We can be happy without these things again.

These things can give temporary joy but long-lasting happiness comes through having meaningful life experiences with people you enjoy spending time with.

So, the next time you feel unhappy, don’t forget to get in touch with a good friend or do an activity that you enjoy, just like you used to do when you were a kid.
