Being Nice

A few years ago while roaming in the market, I saw a guy in front of me cursing someone on the phone.

“How rude,” I thought. “This isn’t the way to talk to someone. People these days curse left and right. There’s no civility left. What happened to those good old manners?”

Suddenly, I saw him rushing towards something. The guy ran towards the crowd and bent down as if to pick something up from the ground.

I kept curiously looking at him while walking. As I moved further, I could now see that this guy was holding a wallet in his hands.

He then ran a little further and handed this wallet to an old-looking man walking in front of him.

Well, I guess I learned a lesson that day – Being nice and being good are two different things.
