Status

Remind yourself often that you don’t necessarily need to be a part of status-driven activities.

Buy that fancy car. Get yourself a cool new gadget. Or go to a fancy restaurant. But do these things only because you want to do it and not because you want to show off to your peers.

Make it about the activity and not about massaging your ego.

Funnily enough, once you separate your ego from these activities, you’ll realize that you don’t really need it all.
